You were a New York State resident and filed a 2023 New York State income tax return (Form IT-201)
Your income falls within the designated eligibility thresholds
You are not claimed as a dependent on another taxpayer’s return

Over 8 million people
Benefit Amount
A refund check of up to $400 per household
Distribution Period
Checks will be mailed out gradually over several weeks starting in Fall 2025
